Finally! There are quality bass boats in central Maine.

Bass fishing is an up and coming sport in Maine now, with dozens of bass clubs throughout the state. I have been tournament bass fishing for almost 10 years now, and I am very excited to have a boat line like SKEETER BOATS to come in to Hamlins Marine. The Waterville store is right in the heart of the best bass fishing area in the state. The belgrade lakes region is well known to weekend bass anglers, and tournament fisherman alike. There are often open tournaments on these lakes that hold upwards of 60+ boats. There are also, on most weekends, multiple club tournaments taking place around the state, usually holding up to 15 boats. With all these passionate bass fisherman it is easy to see the upside to having a great bass boat line here in central Maine. Skeeter truly was a great choice for Hamlins to take on here in Maine. With a good value, superior performance, and the most trusted name in the business, Skeeter is sure to be a hit in this up and coming fishery we have in Maine.

As a young boy growing up in Maine, I did alot of fishing with my Father. However, back then we were more into the traditional Maine fishing, going after salmon and brook trout. If you ask an old Mainer he will tell you these are the only "real fish" in Maine. I use to agree, that is until by mistake, while salmon fishing, I hooked into a bass. Since that day I have not once gone out to catch anything but a bass. The times are changing, and especially for us young guns, just sitting in a 14 foot aluminum boat trolling around the lake for a 14 inch salmon just is not cutting it anymore. Bass fishing offers much more action, with an average of catching more fish and bigger fish in a days trip. Not to mention how much fun it is to be in a 20 foot bass boat with a motor that looks like its three times too big, flying down the lake at 70 MPH.

Come check out the Skeeters and see why, of all the bass boat lines, we chose to put our name with SKEETER.
